Welcome to the Shrewsbury Council On Aging Volunteer page. We are so glad you are either a current member of our volunteer staff or are considering joining us. We know how lucky we are to have such an amazing and dedicated group of volunteers. If it were not for these individuals we would not be able to offer the diverse range of programs, workshops and activities the Shrewsbury senior community has come to expect and enjoy nor would we be able to have the Senior Center run as smoothly as it does. These people are truly invaluable to us all.

Meals On Wheels Prep Help & Village Cafe Servers

Would you like to assist in making sure that housebound seniors get a fresh meal for lunch every day during the week? Here is your chance! We are in need of help at our Meals On Wheels meal site kitchen to portion out, seal meals and get them ready to be delivered to those that cannot get to the Senior Center for our Village Cafe lunch and to serve lunch at the Village Cafe. The hours are 8:30am - 12:30pm, Monday through Friday. Any combination of days would be most greatly appreciated by both the Senior Center and our friends in need of these meals.

Meals On Wheels Drivers

We are looking for a few special drivers. Not only will you be delivering meals to housebound seniors, you will also be checking up on these friends to make sure they are safe and well. Hours are 9:15am - Noon, Monday through Friday.

Senior Greeters at Shrewsbury High School

This is one of our most popular assignments and allows for a lot of contact with a diverse group of new friends, including students, visitors to the high school and more. Shifts are 3 hours. Call now as these positions always get filled quickly.

Senior Edition Newsletter

Assistance is needed to bring the newsletters to the post office and assist through the posting process. No experience necessary, we will train.
