About the Center
The Senior Center is an 11,000-plus-square-foot facility that celebrated its grand opening in February 2000.
Center Facilities
Located within the building are:
- Conference and meeting Rooms
- Council on Aging Department
- Village Cafe
Senior Center Building
Although most communities in Massachusetts often use the terms "Council on Aging" and "Senior Center" interchangeably because they are in the same place, that is not the case for every community. Some towns do not have a Senior Center and others have both but the department may be located in the Town Hall, while the Senior Center is located elsewhere. We are fortunate that here in Shrewsbury, we are able to have both our Senior Center and our Council on Aging Department located in the same building.
Village Cafe
Our Village Cafe prepares meals provided by Elder Services of Worcester Area, Inc. Lunch is served at Noon Monday through Friday, except on holidays, for a suggested $2 donation. On Special Luncheon days, meals begin at 11:30 a.m. To reserve seating, please call 508-841-8757 by Noon at least 2 business days ahead of time.
